Smooth away wrinkles and smile lines to reveal a fresh-faced glow with this FDA-approved hyaluronic acid gel injectable. Restylane® Lyft improves skin elasticity, lifting cheeks to reveal high, sculpted cheekbones, replenishing volume, and contouring your face in a natural way.

    What is Restylane® Lyft?

Restylane® Lyft is a hyaluronic acid-based clear injectable gel intended for use in the areas around the nose, mouth, and cheeks. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that already exists in the body and helps support volume and moisture retention.

Restylane® Lyft is a non animal-based dermal filler that doesn’t contain any animal protein. Restylane® Lyft also contains 0.3% lidocaine to help minimize discomfort associated with the treatment.

    How Does Restylane® Lyft Work?

Restylane® Lyft is injected into the skin with an ultrafine needle to add volume and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth. The filler may be injected with an ultrafine needle or a small, blunt-tipped cannula to increase the fullness of the cheeks. Restylane® Lyft may also be used to increase volume in the back of the hand.

    How Long Do Results Last?

When used to treat the wrinkles and folds that may run from the nose to the corners of the mouth, Restylane® Lyft benefits generally last about 6 months as the filler is gradually absorbed by the body.

When used to increase the fullness of your cheeks, Restylane® Lyft benefits generally last between two and twelve months.

    Before the Treatment

It’s important to schedule an appointment with a medical professional to learn more about the potential results and risks of treatment. During the initial consultation, the doctor will assess the patient’s features and discuss goals and expectations. To prepare for treatment, patients should avoid taking St. John’s Wort, high doses of Vitamin E supplements, and NSAIDs.

Patients should tell their doctor if they:

    • Are taking immunosuppressive medications, as they can increase the risk of infection
    • Have any history of scarring or pigmentation disorders
    • Are using any blood thinners (these can increase the risk of bruising or bleeding at the injection site)
    • Are planning additional skin therapies in the near future, such as laser, mechanical, or chemical peels

Restylane® Lyft is not recommended for patients:

    • With severe allergies or a history of severe reactions
    • Allergic to lidocaine or or any of the proteins used to make the hyaluronic acid in the injection
    • Prone to bleeding or diagnosed with a bleeding disorder

    Potential Side Effects and Risks

After treatment with Restylane® Lyft, patients may experience the following temporary side effects:

    • Skin discoloration (bruising)
    • Swelling
    • Redness
    • Tenderness
    • Pain
    • Itching
    • Small bumps in the injection site
    • Headache

These side effects typically resolve within one or two weeks. Other rare and serious risks include infection, scarring, cold sores, and vision changes.

    Recovery Process

After treatment, patients should avoid excessive exposure to sun, UV lamps or indoor tanning beds, and extreme heat or cold until the redness and swelling subsides.
